After all is said and done, you are left with a sense of confusion. You start ruminating about the nature of it all. Was this intended to be funny?
Or were we just all part of a grand, cosmic prank?

Worst Day Ever
It all started with an case of terrible hair. I couldn't do it to look decent. As I was dashing out the door, I stumbled and badly all over the floor. To make matters worse, I was completely running behind for work.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to run away and hide.
